“So you are telling me that poor professor Funkly actually caused the ruckus by attempting to protect Miss Ronnie?” The headmaster laughed thinking how lucky they were to have Doug at the school.
“Yes Sir, I am quite certain Ronnie would have been perfectly safe had the professor just asked her to return to the group.”
“Very good, Mister Douglas. Can you please take our young friend Arnold to the stables?”
“Oh no, sir! Please, it wasn’t his fault!” Ronnie begged.
“Miss Ronnie, don’t you worry about your new friends. Douglas is going to take Arnold to the stables and the gamekeeper is going to give him a good look over to be sure he didn’t get himself hurt in any way. Just as I am going to take you to the infirmary and be sure you have not been injured either… And don’t you worry, Arnold is not going to get a boring lecture from the headmaster on the safety precautions young witches and wizards need to follow while on school grounds.”
“Yes, headmaster… Thank you Doug for helping us… Oh, and it was a great meeting you.” Ronnie said as they started towards the clinic.
“My pleasure, Miss Ronnie. I am sure our paths will cross again.”
